Tina Biddle Utah Obituary — Snowbird Ski Patrol Director Has Died
The Snowbird and Little Cottonwood Canyon community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Tina Biddle, the beloved Ski Patrol Director whose leadership, warmth, and unwavering dedication shaped the heart and spirit of Snowbird for more than two decades. Tina passed away unexpectedly, leaving behind a legacy built on service, mentorship, and a profound love for the mountains she called home.
Tina began her Snowbird journey in 2001 and quickly earned admiration for her exceptional work ethic and her deep commitment to the safety and well-being of everyone on the mountain. Her steadiness, expertise, and respect for the outdoors made her an essential presence on the slopes.
In 2017, she was promoted to Patrol Director — a role in which she thrived and became affectionately known as “Ma Biddle” for the way she supported, guided, and cared for the more than 80 patrollers who served under her leadership. She was their advocate, mentor, and protector, offering strength and compassion in equal measure.
Colleagues remember Tina as the first one out the door each morning, eager to embrace the mountain and happiest when she was doing the work she loved most. Her passion for skiing, her dedication to safety, and her commitment to her team helped shape Snowbird’s culture in lasting ways. Her influence will be felt for generations, especially in the areas of the mountain she cherished most.
Beyond her leadership, Tina was a dear friend, confidant, and inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her absence leaves a deep and painful void throughout the resort and the broader canyon community.
The Snowbird family extends its heartfelt condolences to her husband, Matt, during this unimaginably difficult time. As friends, colleagues, and patrollers reflect on her life, many will honor her memory by carrying forward the love, strength, and camaraderie she embodied every day.
Rest in peace, Tina. Snowbird loves you. #519
