Born on February 2, 1998, in Ogden, Utah, Messerly was the son of Joel and Libby Messerly. He attended Weber High School, where he was remembered for his outgoing personality, sense of humor, and the ease with which he formed friendships. His family noted that throughout his life, he had a remarkable ability to accept people as they were, offering empathy, kindness, and support whenever needed.

He also developed a passion for cooking and liked sharing his recipes with others. His family said he was a hardworking and well-liked employee in every job he held.
Messerly began his career in adult entertainment in 2018, performing under the name Scott Finn and working with several studios. His last post on X in June referenced a challenging year following his divorce, and in recent months he had shifted focus toward his culinary interests.
His family said he will be remembered for his “kindness, big smile, and silly-natured personality,” adding that they find comfort in believing he is now at peace.
A funeral service is scheduled for December 4, 2025.
